RoADAC

Already, as you may have already seen in Andover Advertiser, 23 February 2007, that there may already be a big challenge on the horizon. The proposal to build a massive (800,000 + sq. ft.) storage and distribution centre on the old Andover Airfield site, for one of the country’s largest supermarket chains! This will also need some scrutiny and examination o the detail, once the expected planning application is officially submitted to the Planning Department at TVBC.

The implications for the whole Andover area could be potentially devastating, with immense light, air and noise pollution, severe traffic implications, and general environmental and ecological issues too. We see the body of RoADAC as the focus and awareness group that will potentially highlight and table any concerns, issues and possible objections to this new development, whilst again acting as an awareness agency to the communities of Andover and surrounding parishes. Therefore, we ask whether you may like to become involved in dealing with such issues, having a specialist background to offer, or may just want to be kept very much informed with events.
